What is the purpose of Apex Youth Clubs?

The purpose of an Apex Youth Club is to assist young people to grow into responsible, community minded adults.

Age Limits?

Members of an Apex Youth Club should be between the years of 12 and 18 however it is up the Youth Club who may decide to make exceptions. Generally speaking Youth Club members should be of secondary school age. All Apex Youth Clubs are mixed. Party Politics and ReligionApex Youth Clubs shall be non party political and non sectarian.ActivitiesThe activities of an Apex Youth Club shall be at the discretion of each Club provided that the Club shall participate in at least one community service project each year.

Do Apex Youth Clubs have Meetings?

 Apex Youth Clubs are similar to Apex Clubs and should meet twice a month. Meetings should be run in a similar way to an Apex Club with correct meeting procedure in place. Some Youth Clubs may opt to have a business meeting once a month and a social or sport activity for the second meeting. It is advisable to have one or two Apexians from the sponsor Club to attend Youth Club business meetings as observers and to provide input/advice when requested.

Who Makes the Decisions?

Once the Apex Youth Club is formed and working towards its charter then the members of that Club are the decision makers. The members of the Youth Club should always be treated as young adults and should be able to make all their own decisions. At times Youth Clubs may ask their sponsor Club for advice which should be provided as required.
