Relay for Life 2025 – Apex Club of Bundaberg

On 19th July 2025, the Apex Club of Bundaberg proudly entered a team in the Bundaberg/Fraser Coast Relay for Life.

Our baton was a standout feature – a piece of sugar cane that never left the track and even lit up in the dark, symbolising both creativity and the local spirit of our region.

The Apex team included participants of all ages, from children through to adults, making it a true family effort. Beyond walking the track, our club also took on the responsibility of catering for the hundreds of relayers, competitors, community members, and committee representatives present.

From early morning through to late evening, our volunteers worked tirelessly preparing and serving meals that proved a huge hit. The menu ranged from super hotdogs with the lot, pulled pork rolls, creamy homemade pumpkin soup, hamburgers, and traditional sausages on bread. To accompany this, we provided a range of refreshments including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, and plenty of water to keep participants warm and hydrated throughout the day.

The event highlighted the unity and dedication of the Apex Club of Bundaberg. Members gave their time freely, showcasing the strength of teamwork and our commitment to supporting causes that make a real difference in the community.

The impact of our contribution was highly visible, with many relayers and organisers expressing their gratitude for both our participation on the track and the success of our catering service.

We are honoured to have been asked to cater again for the 2026 Relay for Life, and we look forward to continuing to support this important cause while serving our community with delicious meals.
